Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies…for CLICK and help choose

Update: Thank you all very much for the valuable and constructive feedback, I really appreciate it. It is interesting to hear other people’s opinion, their perspective and their view point. It lets you see things in new light, new angle which points to things that you never thought of before. It is in fact a great learning opportunity.

I have now submitted picture 3 now. Thanks for taking the time y’all.

One of our family friends gave us these Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies when they visited us during the long weekend. They are delicious, decadent and lip smacking to say the least. When snacking on one of them, it reminded me of the CLICK event and thought why not try my hand at CLICKING the cookie? The theme for this month is  COOKIES and is hosted by the Jugalbandits.

After giving it some thought I decided on a setup, which was to click the pictures against the backdrop of morning sunshine. I clicked these during different hours of the day, thanks in part to my little one’s curiosity and mischief. The first one I clicked around 8:00 AM, the second at 9:00 AM and the last one at 10:00 AM.

DS woke up earlier than expected and was his usual mischievous self when he saw me clicking the pictures. “Can I eat that cookie?””Can I color on the paper?” “Can I get some apple juice?” “Can I close the window?”” Can I click the Cranba (yep, that is what he calls the camera!)?””I want those flowers” Can you read a book?” ”Why you not click my pictures?”….Aaah kids! They somehow manage to do the exact opposite of what we want every single time.

OK, anwaysI invite you all to pick your choice, the one that you like better and the one that I can send to the CLICK event. Also I would appreciate any feedback…Good, Bad or Ugly J.

I like the third one 🙂 I feel the shadows are a bit too harsh, but overall the pictures are very sharp and clear. There you go, my two cents!

Nags thanks a bunch. Totally loved your feedback, agreed about the shadows part. I have made a note to self, not to take pictures in sunlight before 12:00 PM 🙂

Parita thanks girl for the pick. Noted your choice. OK you like the third one also.

Shweatha thanks for pick. I am making notes here :-), one more for the third one then.

HC thanks. OK, I will go with your choices. But hey, in case you decided to pick one, let me know girl.

ISG thanks. Ahh, I like your point. Input taken as well.

I like the last one… it has less shadows & the flower is just right in the background, just there without interfering.

I can totally relate with the “CRANBA” paragraph! LOL .. cranba:-)we should really write these down, for after a few years we will forget.

Wow all are wonderful shots but my vote is for 1st one..2 is good in 3 rd shadow is more. And overall 1 st best becos it really showed original color of the cookies. ANd super clear and lovely flower shadow.

I think 3rd pic got most votes and it’s leading and would be winning as my vote is also for that only 🙂

  7. Preeti says:

All the clicks are amazing. My vote goes to 2nd one as
both cookies and flower are looking wonderful in that pic.
All the best for the contest, RC.

Am I late here? But here’s my two cents (or paise?) worth.
All three look good. The first one seems a little dark, especially since the cookies themselves are a dark brown and the chocolate chip detail isn’t visible.
In the second one, like Nags said, the shadows are bit harsh.
The third one is the best. It would have been better if there was a little less light. You can make this out from the left side of the picture where the bottle looks exposed.
I’m not an expert, remember? 😀

  9. Sharmila says:

Lovely snaps! I like the 2nd one’s arrangement of the cookies near the mouth of the bottle. The 3rd does look softer. 🙂

Lubna thanks girl for the warm words.

Soma thanks for the feedback. I agree about words the kids say,it is hilarious and we make him say that over and over again. He repeats it like a TOTA and knows that we enjoy it :-)) Yeah, I need to write it down.

Sunshinemom thanks. Glad you liked the 3rd one. These were very chocolaty and also crunchy. Had that melt in the mouth feeling 🙂

    Thanks Mahimaa. That was quick.

Kalai thanks for the feedback. All your inputs help me see things in a new way.

    hi,
tha’s a lot of suggestions 🙂 here’s mine too!! I would pick the second one as the detailing is more clear. The shadow of the cookies, bottle, flower add a touch of naturalness to the snap and the lighting is making it look softer rather than sharp and too bright 🙂
    Enjoy the Weekend!
